When I first started performing wedding ceremonies, I didn’t imagine how special the simple ones would be. But over time, I’ve come to love the quiet, meaningful moments that happen when it’s just two people saying “I do” in a backyard, a park, or even a coffee shop patio.

A lot of couples come to me looking for a stress-free wedding—something quick, heartfelt, and uncomplicated. Maybe it’s their second marriage. Maybe they just don’t want the big party. Or maybe they’re planning something larger later, but for now, they just want to be married.

And I’m here for it. 💛

📝 From “Sign & Go” to Sweet Backyard Ceremonies

Some ceremonies are truly as simple as meeting, checking IDs, signing the marriage license, and saying a few official words to seal the deal. We laugh, we high-five, and just like that—they’re married.

Other times, we meet at a restaurant, at their home, or in a small public space with close family and friends. Maybe there are flowers, maybe there’s cake—maybe there’s a dog in a bow tie. Every couple makes it their own, and it’s always lovely.

And let me be clear: all couples are welcome. I proudly officiate same-sex weddings, and it brings me so much joy to help people celebrate their love—no matter who they are or who they love. Whether it’s a short-and-sweet elopement or a cozy ceremony surrounded by close friends, I want your day to feel respectful, affirming, and exactly what you hoped for.

One of my favorites? Right here where I live—IMT Cool Springs in Franklin, TN. The landscaping around the complex is beautiful, and if it’s just the couple (and maybe a photographer), it can be the perfect setting for a private elopement.
