Is it possible to notarize documents online?
Yes. Remote online notarization, often called RON, allows you to meet with an authorized notary through live video instead of traveling to an office.

The appointment takes place through a platform designed for notarization. It combines identity verification, electronic signatures, and a recorded video session with a notary. Can I use DocuSign to notarize a document?
Yes, DocuSign offers online notarization options. However, a regular electronic signature alone does not notarize your document.

Required identity checks still have to be completed successfully, but you won’t be left trying to figure out the process on your own.
What should I have ready?

Device and identity-verification requirements vary by platform.
